13 Books on My Keeper Shelf

I don't have a lot of books on my keeper shelf. For a writer I actually probably have remarkably few. But a book has to speak to me on some important level, for a variety of reason, before I will put in on my nearly empty keeper shelf.

In no particular order:

1. Playing With Fire by Gena Showalter

2. In the Blink of an Eye by Julie Miller (I love me some Julie Miller)

3. Faking It by Jennifer Crusie

4.Undercover in High Heels by Gemma Halliday

5. Dark Desires by Eve Silver

6. Search and Seizure by Julie Miller

7. Baby Jane Doe by Julie Miller

8.Seize the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

9. Dance With the Devil by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Even though I wanted to name Awaken the Devil this and had never heard of this book. And agent told me I was going to have change it because of this book. And lucky for her, like she cares, I liked it enough to forgive her for stealing my perfect name.

10. Beast in the Tower by Julie Miller

11. Break the Night by Anne Stuart

12. All Fall Down by Erica Spindler

13. Now You Don't by Roma Greth
With and itty bitty picture.

13 Things that I've Been the the doctor for in the last week.

Yeah, call me lazy and disorganized for missing a week but the truth is I'm not doing so good. Nothing life threatening but lots of little things all at once. I'm not very witty and original today but here's thirteen things I've been to the doctor for in the last week.

1. Wrist injury that may require surgery.
2. Bronchitis.

3. PCOS

4. Dietary needs

5. Broken CPAP machine

6. To schedule a new sleep study

7. To renew meds

8. To have blood tests done

9. To have my teeth cleaned

10. To make another appointment (don't ask)

11. Boob check

12. To be told I wasn't there at the right time

13. To have my lymph nodes handled by a skeletal woman with brutally cold hands.

I had two more appointments too but I won't subject you to anymore. Happy TT and hope that everyone else is doing a little better than me this week. :)

13 Things I Love About My Daughter

Today is my daughter's fourth birthday. So in honor I compose this list.

1. Her first word was "pink." Not making that up.

2. Instead of ever throwing tantrums to get what she wants she just puts on the cute.

3. She's an artiste. She works so hard on her art projects.

4. She's unfailing kind to everyone.

5. She asks questions we know are some day going to torture her husband. "I love you daddy. Do you love me? How much do you love me daddy?"

6. She insists upon choosing her own outfits and dressing herself even though she has...interesting fashion sense.

7. She loves doll houses. I always loved doll houses too.

8. She's funny. She makes jokes all the time. Even if they are knock knock jokes that don't actually make sense.

9. She has a natural instinct for making everyone feel like they're her favorite.

10. She laughs like a fairy or an angel. You've never heard anything like it.

11. She wants to save the world, starting with the animals.

12. She's a little mother. Even to people who are older than her.

13. She's just full of life. Sometimes I wish I could still be that energetic and full of zest.

Happy birthday E!!
